Each day we'll end with personal reflections. Some days our dairy pages will be published onto the web. Since our motor coach, which was designed by us, does have computers with a high speed satellite (attached to the roof) connection, we will be checking and answering all emails!!
Come along with us, read our diary, check out the photos and visit some exciting web sites....but most of all E-MAIL US (just click on our name) !! And if you know of anyone from a city where we will be stopping tell them we want to know about their city!....mostly about all exciting places we could visit. We'll will try to do as much as we can each day, including our school work.

1/20/99
Tonight we leave for Portland. Our bus is slowly getting packed. We
are finishing up our lists of things to pack. There are many
things to think of when packing for such a long trip. Planning
is not always easy, there's a lot to consider! The bus does have a
laundry room, so we can do wash. I KNOW Sachie or Mr. Riley will not
do it for us, I wish maids were coming along! We got our checkbooks
today and each of us have $750.00 in our accounts. We have a check
registers that we will use to record all the money we are
spending. It will be important to make the money last the entire
trip. I thinking making money on the road may be difficult and we
won't be able to call home for money...we all have to
budget.
We all need different things when we travel...here's what some of us will need:
...Karlee needs pair of sandals, 3 pair of pants, 3 shirts, 1 sweat shirt, 3 sets of underclothes, night gown, 2 pair of tennis shoes, toothbrush, hair brush and comb, face treatment, suntan lotion, 2 swim suites, tank top, 10 rolls of film, hat, Band-Aids, water bottle, 2 towels, shorts, camera, cold medicine, first aid kit, vitamins, aspirin, travel diary.

City: PORTLAND, OR
Weather: high 50 and clear and sunny
Today we arrived in Portland. Oregon! What a great day of travel we had. Kerry has planned a day filled with fun. We are starting off the day with a visit to the Pickett Castle, located on the outside of Portland. We will also visit a famous waterfall and then take a city tour of the downtown area. She also made a reservation for us to have lunch at the Cup and Saucer. Today was planned by Kerry N.
Anna W.- We got to see Pickett Mansion, it was really cool! I had lunch with a girl named Jenny.She had long brown hair and her eyes were blue. After lunch we went on a hike to a waterfall. I could hear the water falling down to the bottom of the river. It was beautiful!
Ruvim Z. - We went to a castle called Pickett. I was skeletons because the castle was 100 years old. Then we went to a waterfall and I played on the grass. For lunch we went to a restaurant called Cup and Saucer, I had pizza that was very yummy.
Dima N.- Before lunch we went to a waterfall and then we'll eat at a place called Cup and Saucer for lunch. Afterwards, we went to Pickett Mansion and last we went downtown. I sketched the waterfall, it was beautiful. I also sketched at at Cup and Saucer. The food smelled and tasted good. I sketched a real cool painting of the castle. A tired pigeon landed on my head and I heard it coo.
Mikey M.- Today was awesome! We went to the Pickett Mansion, it was made in the 1800's. While I was there I got lost and fell into a trap door, it was filled with old paintings. They were priceless! I only showed Adam and Travis. After the seeing the Pickett Mansion we explored downtown. I met a guy named Joe, he was nice. He feel into a fountain and so did I. Most people I met in the city were nice.
Melissa C.- I had a great time in Portland. We went to the Pickitt Castle, it was dark and scary. I think I saw a bat or spider on my shoulder. For lunch we went to the Cup and Saucer, we had pizza. After lunch we went to visit a waterfall, it was so nice I jumped in the water. We also saw a beautiful sunset. At night we went on a tour of the city. It was very cool.

City: BAKER CITY, OR
Weather: 47 cloudy and rainy
Today we arrive in Baker City. It use to be a mining town, where they found a lot of gold. George Armstrong found the city a large 80.4 ounce nugget of gold. You can see the nugget at the US National Bank. In 1861 this city was a part of the gold rush. In Baker City we have planned going skiing on Mount Anthony Lake. Today was planned by- Ashley W.
Caleb S.- What I did today was ski! When we were on the bus the tire popped. We stopped and fixed it. I found a baby parrot that had fallen out of his nest. I didn't see the mama parrot or either the babies. I kept it as a pet on the bus. I took the parrot to the waterfall. I build a cage out of sticks and string and little nest out of leaves and sticks.
Karlee C.- I did not go skiing because I got scared. But I got to see a gold miner and he gave me a piece of gold. The gold is worth lots of money. For lunch we had McDonald's. It was good. I had a hamburger and fries. For dessert I had a ice cream cone. I had a great day.
Kerry N. - We went to the Baker City Ski Lodge! There I fell on a big hill!! I dropped my hat and my ears were cold the rest of the time!! Plus my water bottle broke and I was really thirsty!!! We had Mc Donalds for lunch and we went to a bank that had a display with real gold that was found in Baker a long time ago!!!We had a great day in Baker City!!!! P.S.It was snowing at the resort!!!
Michael B.- It was cold while where skiing. I smelt animals in the trees. When I was skiing I fell down and got back up. I found ten thousand dollars. It was fun turning it in to the police. I fell down again and turned into a snow ball and rolled the rest of the way down. We also went to the Pickett mansion. I got lost in it. It is really high. If you are on top of it you can see along way. We went on a tour around the town of Baker. I met a guy named Samuel. He was nice and he walked the rest of the way with us. He also ate lunch with us.

Today we our bus broke down and we stayed in Baker City for another day. We just spent the day around the bus, hoping that the bus would be fixed.

We finally made it to Boise, Idaho. They call this state the Potato capital of the world. Here is where they grow the most potatoes in the United States. Today we are going to visit the World Center of Birds and Prey, the state capital building and Silver Mountain. Today was planned by Travis
Adam- I had a AWESOME time in Boise. We went to the Idaho State Capitol. I saw the governor of Idaho. I shook his hand. At Silver Mountain I did a jump one foot off the ground. Today was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris S. - Today in Boise we went to the World Center and we saw birds of pray. We will eat lunch soon. Today we will ski at Silver Mountain it will be Awesome! 12:16 AM We just got done skiing it was awesome. When I was going down a hill I fell it didn't hurt but I got covered in snow. The snow was 110 inches deep! Hares and I played chicken while we skied and crashed into each other it didn't hurt though it was awesome! We ate at the Sand Piper! Today was AWESOME!
Dima N- Yahoo! We finally got to Boise, the potato city. At the world center,we learned about "birds of pray." When I went skiing I am glad no one saw that I got hurt while skiing. By the way, Boise is the capital of Idaho and at the Idaho State Capital I met the governor.
Mikey M.- Today we are in Boise and it was cool! We went to the world center and I saw lots of birds of prey. We also went to the Capital and I saw lots of old paintings they were AWESOME . I also saw the governor he said hi. It made me feel lucky that I met the governor. We are going to lunch soon. Just got back from skiing it was Awesome, I skied for a little bit then I played in the snow I sunk in the snow it was fun.
Dmitry- We went to the capital building, it was boring. The World Center wasn't interesting because I really don't like birds. Night skiing was awesome, we skied on Silver Mountain! I did 20 flips from 3 jumps. Boise was fun! I met a guy named Joey Tribune he said he was on a show...and I believed him.

City: Salt Lake City, UT
Weather: 45 and cloudy
Today we arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah. Many of the students have a lot of energy and are seeing all that they can see. Today we may spend lots of money. There are lots of places to visit like the annual Bobsled races, national Skating Championship, hiking through Canyon light national park, listening to Beethoven at the Abravanel Hall, walk through Temple Square. We are having a picnic made by our cook, Scott, and we are eating in Temple Square. Today was planned by Mike A.
Ashley- I had a nice time in Salt Lake City. The Chanson planitarium I saw the sun and planets like Mars and the moon. Then we went to the World Skating competition. It was so cool. Then we stopped by the Capital and I saw the Mayor but he could not stay long but that is okay. The best part was the great Salt Lake. I saw the sun set and that was my day!
Kaelin - Today we went on a hike. That was fun. We also went to Salt Lake City Skyline. I took a walk in Temple Square. I saw beautiful flowers. I smelt roses and other flowers. I felt cold air. I also went to the World Figure Skating. There was some awesome skaters there. My favorite place today in Salt Lake City was the World Figure Skating because I like skating. My day was awesome! I also went Bob Sledding.
Kerry N.- Dear Travel Diary, Today we arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah!!! It was great because we got to pick what we wanted to do!! I went to the figure skating compitition!! I saw some cool ice skaters!!! I enjoyed a walk at the park afterwards and I had a great time!
Sae Young- Today was a cool day because it was sunny. I went to the Delta Center that is showing dinosaurs. I saw dinosaurs that moved like robots. I went to a Triad Center to watch a bobsled race... this was the coolest part in my day. At night I went to Hansen Planetarium I saw a lot of stars and some planets. We had picnic lunch outside. in Temple Square, it was a beautiful place!
Travis- Salt Lake City is awesome I met two people named Pikachu and Riachu. When went to the bobsled races, those bobsleds were fast.The hike was so awesome, one of my favorite things on the hike was that I saw some eagles. The Delta Center was awesome too. But I liked the Planetarium the best. There was a lot of stars and planets. Also there was so much more space things.
Adam- It was AWESOME at Salt Lake City! I went to the Bobsled Race and got really cold and had to put on my extra coat. Later I went for a walk in Temple Square. After that I went to the Capitol Building. This time I didn't see the governor. I went to the Salt Lake City Planetarium and I saw Jupiter, it was a huge, red and orange planet. At the city fountain I chased a duck with a blue beck, he stopped, I tripped on him and fell into the pond. I had to change my clothes.

Welcome to Las Vegas, NV. Today we are going to Circus Circus theme park, the first theme park in Vegas and the biggest. We are also going to Wet and Wild water park. After the water park we are taking a hike at Red Rock National Park. In the evening we are enjoying a limo ride around Las Vegas, this is my treat to everyone. It's costing me $350.00. At lunch we will be easting at the All New Food Court. Phoenix is our next stop. This day was planned by Dmitry.
Anna W- We took a limo ride at night!!!! The stars and the moon were glowing in the dark night. We went hiking in the desert. There were lizards on the burning hot sand.
Ashley- Las Vegas was a blast!The water park was so fun. I went on so many rides that I could not stop. We had lunch at All New Food Court. To eat I ordered a salad with Jell-O and pop. At Red Rock I saw cactuses, snakes, bugs, wolves, and tumble weeds. The dolphins at the water park were the best part about it. I will tell you a little about it. They jumped though ho la hoops and bounced balls on their noses. I got wet when they did flips near me.
Ruvim- Today we are in Las Vegas. We went to a park and we went on a hike today. We went to a restaurant called the All New Food Court. Then at 10:00 A.M. we went to the Red Rock Park. After that, Dima and I played tag in the Red Rock. I saw red rocks. There are lots of cool rocks. I saw a snake, a lizard, and flies. When I went a little farther, I saw a lizard's nest. In the lizard's nest, there was one egg that was big and it was white. Today, it was fun in the dessert!
Chris - Dear Travel Diary, Today in Vegas at the New Food Court I ate all kinds of food it was very Awesome! At Wet and Wild, Hares and I got soaked it was refreshing! The roller coaster ride seats were wet as heck. Before all that stuff at Red Rock me and Hares took out our snake and fed him bugs. I bumped into a cactus and got a few thorns stuck in my head, it hurt! On the limo ride they had coke and other drinks. Hares and Michael dared me to open the door and hang out , I did it was freaky! When they pulled me in I was stiff. Today was very AWESOME!
Christina - We are in Red Rock right now and we are taking a hike and it is very warm!!! We put on our shorts In the Red Rock desert, we saw cactuses, lizards and sand sharks in the soft sand. We saw pizza trees,and chicken trees (Everyone started laughing!!!). Dima thought he saw his twin but that was just a tree. We all found sand lizards and Mr.Riley let us keep them. I didn't want one because I get freaked out! I also saw a rattle snake and I got freaked out again! We are now in a park and we are taking a walk and we see all kinds of birds like parrots, we also saw all kinds of flowers like roses and tulips. Now we are paying $35.00 to go on a limo ride downtown and see a lot of people and lights. It was dark in the limo. We ate at All New Food Court and I ordered red Chinese meat. It was good. We went to Circus Circus and rode a roller coaster. It was really fun because the roller coaster went really fast.
Karlee- Dear Journal, Now we are in Las Vegas I had a very fun day. The best thing about today was the hike at Red Rock... I loved the desert. There I saw lizards as I was taking a picture. I bumped in to a cactus. It hurt. Love, Karlee
Michael B. - Today at the water park I slid down a big water slide and I got scared. I stopped in the middle that blocked up and made me start going agin. The water park was free. Circus circus was inside a building. I went on the biggest ride there. I also took a hike at red rock. It was hot there.
Sae Young- At Vegas it was fun and wet because I went to Wet'n Wild. It was fun because it was sunny and cool. We ate lunch at the All New Food Court there was all kinds of food there. At night we went on a limo ride to see the city of Las Vegas. Dimity had to pay $350. dollars for the limo ride.
Dmitry- Travel J, Las Vegas was Awesome! I liked the water park more than Circus Circus because I got wet and the tubes were awesome. The tubes were cool because I kept pushing people down the slide. Circus Circus was fun, too...on a lot of the rides I was going so fast , That made a very big smile on my face. Hares and I became a team at the water park, we worked together at pushing people down the slide. After that we went to Red Rock National Park. It was cool because I DDT ed Hares in the sand and he DDT ed me back. I was very hot in the desert so I returned to the bus and jumped in the freezer and I was cool again. In the evening we took a limo ride around the city of Vegas and we say a cowboy light guy and the cowgirl light person. And I also saw a Sphinx and I pyramid. Joey, my friend, won a thousand bucks in the casino, but he didn't share, because I didn't want it. I was too young to gamble with Joey. Vegas was the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hares- Today we're in Las Vegas, it was a long drive. When we went to The NEW FOOD COURT it was cool because the food was good.I went to red rock,it is a desert, I totaly ran into a cactas.Chris and I walked our pet snake AWESOME.When we went to WetÕn wild, DMITRY tried to push me down the tube but I grabed onto his leg and pulled him down with me,and then we teamed up and pushed other people down the tube.Then we left to a Dolphin show, I liked it because the dolphins didn't listen to their masters.( I laughed alot ) The limo ride was great because I saw a lot of people and lights. Off we go to Phoenix AZ!

We made it to Flagstaff, AR. Today we are going to visti a metor crater that crashed into the earth millions of years agao.After we hike to the crater we will have lunch at the Cowboy Club. Next we will go hiking on Sunny Mountain, there we will see lots of climbing animals like Pikas, cougars and mountain goats. I hope everyone enjoys the city of Flagstaff. This day was planned by Dima.
Dmitry- Today at Flagstaff we went on a hiketo a crater where a metor landed thousands of years ago, we are eating at restaurant called the Cowboy Club. and last we will hike on Sunny moutain. At the crater I hiked to the bottem and I found a piece of metor and I also found a awesome stone. Flagstaff was peaceful!

City: Phoenix, AZ
Weather: high 50 and clear and sunny
Hi! We are in Phoenix, Arizona today! First we are going to Ancient Egyption Art Museum. It will be filled with mummies and other types of entertainment. We are also going to the Heard Musem where we will see a lizard exhibit. There will be many different types of lizard species. After the musum we will go to the Arizona Center Zoo. It is a large zoo. Then we will see Sedona Canyon...a place filled with excitment!" Last but not least we will finally ride the hot air balloons over Phoenix. This day was planned by Richard J.
Ashley - I had a cool time in Phoenix AZ! We went to world's greatest zoo and I saw zebras,buffilos and other animals. The Ancient Egyption museum I saw a mummy and Egyption rings and other stuff. At the lizard exhibit I saw a colored lizard and these are some of the colors that the lizards were like blue,orange,and brown. The hot air bloon was cool because I saw the town it was so beautiful!!
Adam - Today we are in Phoenix. I went to the Zoo and I saw lots of animals like coyotes, lizards,wolves,and worthogs.On the hot air Balloon, it was AWESOME! I saw lots of lights and it was silent. I got so cold, stone cold! At night, we went to the canyons where I was running up the sides of the canyons. I almost rolled down but I caught myself. My day was AWESOME! Don't forget before we went to the canyons we went to the Egypt Museum. I went saw lots of jewels, emeralds,and rubys. Also I saw tombs of dead guys. One time one of the tombs opened and I ran away. I was FREAKED! Again, my day was AWESOME!
Dima - Today we got to Phoenix. At 10:00 we went to The Ancient Egyptian Museum. Then we went to the Heared Museum Lizard Exhibit. Did you know that the Marine Lizard eats sea weed? Incredible, a lizard that eat's underwater! I almost fell from the ballon because another ballon bumped hard into ours. We landed and went to the Arizona Zoo were animals roam freely. HELP! I'm running out of room.Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Dimtry - Today in Phoenix we went to the Ancient Egyption Museum, the Phoenix Zoo, also the Heard Museum, a hot air balloon ride, and the Sedonya Canyons at sun set. The Sedonya Canyons were the coolest. I jumped in a small raft that I brought and I went on the rapids with Michael, Chris, and Hares. Then a giant snake jumped on the raft and we all jumped out onto near by rocks. Then the raft and the snake fell down a close waterfall. We swam back to shore. Phoenix was cooooool!
Kaelin-Phoenix was cool.We went to the Ancient Egyptian Museum.We saw lots of mummies.They were awesome.We also went to Sedona Canyons.That was exciting. In Phoenix I got a cold, runny nose,and a headache.I also coughed a lot. We went on a hot air balloon ride.That was like $35.00.I got scared on the balloon because I am afraid of heights.I thought I was going to fall off.We were high above the ground. That was freaky! I was also freezing cold practically the whole day.
Chris- Dear Travel Diary, at the Ancient Egyption Museum I saw a mummy and it was nappy. Then we went to the lizard Exhibit and it was cool. At the desert I let my snake meet new snakes and play with them it was Awesome! Also at the desert Hares and I saw a rattler snake and booked. Then, when I went to Hot Air Balloon it was cool. I went crazy and tried to push Hares off but he stopped me. There was a giant cactus, me and Hares tried to climb it but we wern't wearing gloves so our hands stung like heck and I am still picking thorns out of my hands! At the E.A.M I was running around asking people if they would help me get gold, they thought I was weird exept one kid who helped, his name was Jack Jinglebell, but we were unsuccsessfull. He went with us on the Hot Air Balloon ride it was cool.Also, Michael brought up ice cream and Mike threw it on a guy's head. When we were about 10 ft. to the ground we jumped out. At the zoo Hares, Jingle and I tried to talk to monkeys it was cool. When me Hares and Jack Jinglebell saw a Gorilla we thought it was King Kong and we booked, today is AWESOME! Jack Jinglebell is AWESOME! This morning when Mike A. woke up he looked like Bigfoot! Me Hares and Jack Jinglebell are best friends. Today I was running around screaming I am weird I am weird! Some kids were messing with me and I gave them a $1.00 check and told them to chill and they called me " DA BOMB" one guy had hair and it looked spikes on his head and a dudehad an afro and he thoght it was the most awesome hair.Me, Hares and J.J played basketball against them we won 32 to 10. Today was AWESOME!
Sae Young-Today we went to mostly museums like the Ancient Egyptian Art Museum and we went to the Heard Museum which is showing lizards in the desert. We ate lunch at our bus like in Salt Lake City. After that we went on a hot air balloon and sored across Phoenix. Then we went to a zoo that is like Northwest Trek in Washington. At night we drove thur Sedona Canyon. I saw the canyon was golden at sunset.
Travis-The Heard Museum is so cool they had a lot of lizards.When we went onthe balloon ride it was awesome.Then after that I jumped off the balloon and fell and fell and KABANG I landed in a tree in the Arizona Zoo.After awhile the class found me.Then I said,"Did I here wales."to Mikey ,and Adam.We went and sawOrca Wales.It was AWESOME.But man this was what I call a awesome day!

City:Albuquerque, NM
Weather: high 50 and clear and sunny
Today in Albuquerque we will start the day by going to Wild Wave. Then we will visit old town for a tour and visit the Capital building. We will finish the day by doing some night skiing. Today should be great.....This day was planned by Mike B.
Ashley- I had a blast in Albuquerque! At Wild Waves I heard screaming, water splashing, and other stuff. At Old Town I saw old stores, old churches and very old buildings. At the city tour I saw clothes stores, people talking and walking. Farms Sam was okay. I got a hot dog, pop, and fries.The skiing was cool because I felt the snow in my face.
Chris-Dear Travel Diary, Today in Albuquerque we went to Wild Waves. I was swimming and someone real big dived into me and it hurt. Mike A and I were using people as surf boards at the wave pool, it was cool. I was pushing people down in the wave pool. Old town was weird. At night skiing I did a good job, I am getting pretty good. Today was AWESOME!
Kaelin-Our time in Albuquerque was awesome especially Wild waves. I got so socked and that was awesome. The city tour was fun.We got to see a lot of stuff I didn't know was there. Today in Albuquerque I finished a book called The Pizza War.That was a good book.Now I remember what was in the Old Town. We saw alot of rusty things and old buildings.We also saw some antiques in the stores. My mom would have loved to see that because she loves anttiques.
Anna-At Water waves when I was going down the slid everybody was screaming and saying help me! save me! I'm scared! When we went night skiing I heard crickets singing the snow falling on my hair and the trees shaking in the wind.
Dima- Welcome to Albuquerque! We went to Wild Waves first. I loved the wave pool because when there are waves you can jump extra high. Old town was good...I mean o.k. except for the old cookie I ate. ICKY! It's not funny when you eat a 16 year old cookie! CHICKEN! CHOCOLATE MILK! Famous Sams was the cookie...er,restaurant, we went to. The bus tour was scary. I sat at the back and saw a taxi cab. It was about to hit us but it slowed down. Lucky us! At night skiing I skied for the first time. It was cool! I had a pretty good time there,well onto Armillo! Mmm...this new freshly baked cookie is the bomb!
Heidi - Today we were in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We went to Wild Waves, old town Albuquerque, old trolly city bus. Wild Waves was Awesome because the dolphin splashed out and came close to me. This city was very old, filled with old buildings and churches. Today on the news they said that the ground hog didn't see his shadow.

City: Midland TX / Austin,

Weather: high 50 and clear and sunny
Adam- Austin was AWESOME! At the State Capitol, I saw the govener. I gave him my e-mail. He said,"I'll try to write you." At Aldo's they had the best pizza. I had a side salad and I gave the waiter my e-mail, too.
Richard- Hi! we're in Austin Texas. Today we went to the Capital building and then we went to 6th street and Esters Fallies. Then we went to the U.T. Fountain it was so big I felt like taking a swim. We then went to the Wild Flower Research Center. IÕve never seen so many flowers in one place. Then we went over to the pizza place I was so hungry I ate FIVE pieces! Next we went to bridge where thousands of bats live. I caught a bat and put it in my backpack.
Dima - Welcome to Midland! We went to the first church in Midland. Inside I saw beautiful stained glasses and heard organ music. I loved to splash at Water Wonderland even if it cost more then the community theater. B.B.Q! Sheesh, am I becoming a food zombie? Katies B.B.Q. was great because I love b.b.q. See you!
Dmitry- At the first church I thanked God for every thing he has given me and all he has done for me and for what's to come in my life. At the play, Little Shop of Horrors, I saw a real venus fly trap and after the play I caught a fly went up to the venus fly trap and threw the fly in to the mouth. At KatyeÕs BBQ I made a pop dringing recored that Dan couldÕt beat. The tour of Midland wasenÕt that cool. Midland was Ok. Did it.
Melissa- We are in Midland, Texas today.We went to the first church in Midland it was big and cool.We went to a play it was called the "Little Shop of Horrors", it was fun and Awesome. We went to the tower of Midland it was high and great. Where we went for lunch is Kaites bar-b-Q.I had steak, apples and candy. I had a great time in Midland. This afternoon we are in Austin, Texas. We went to the state capital we saw the mayor it was awesome. We went to downtown six street we saw alot of houses and a lot of people and a lot of either things. We saw a big large fountain it was beautiful. Where we went for dinner is Aldoes pizza and more I had pepperoni pizza. We went to a bat bridge with thousands of Bats it was scarry.
Hi, it's me Richard at Midland, Texas. Today I went to the first church ever to be built in Midland, Texas. It was a beautiful sight! I saw ladies coming out praying and humming. After that we went to Waterlland it was a BLAST! I can't decide what water slides I liked best. Next we went to Katies B.B.Q. I had B.B.Q. spare ribs, corn on the cob, corn bread, and a coke. It was the best B.B.Q. I ever had next to my moms. We went on a tour of Midland we saw the museums, libraries. We saw all the sights it was very interesting can't wait to get to Austin!

Today in Amarillo we will visit the Boys ranch, do some hiking, Listen to the Amarillo Boy's Choir, swim in a Texas shaped pool, eat at the Steak Ranch motel, and see the Lone Star Ballet...Today was planned by Christina
Anna- Finally we are in Amarillo! We went to the rodeo. It was very very dirty. I heard hoves thumping up and down on the dirt. After that we went swimming it felt good because you get hot running around. I'm a good swimmer.
Mike B.- We went to rodeo. I saw people on bulls and while the bulls are jumping up and down the cowboy tries to hold on. I thought he was going to fall, but he did not. We took a small hike in the desert and it was hot. We also went swiming at the Texas shaped pool. The water was warm. I did a nose dive into the pool. I went to listen to the boys choir, they had high voices.

We are finally in Galveston, TX to enjoy the coast. Today we will enter a sandflee contest on the shore of Gulf of Mexico. I can't wait to enter the human Maze made of bushes. I Hope everyone gets though it without getting stuck. We are visting the Lone Star Flight Musuem and there will be jets other kinds of plane things. We will take a small boat to Galveston Island and visit the lighthouse musuem and sea wolf park. Finally we will rent jet skies and take off in the water. The ski rental will cost everyone $35.00. In the evening we will take a trolly around the city. This day was planned by Hares
Travis- In Galveston, TX we went to the shore and entered a sand flea contest, it was cool! I cought a flea that was 20 inches long. I also cought a Dratini.The flight museum was cool. I got stuck in the human maze for five hours. Jet skiing was AWESOME,because I got soaked.Galveston was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kaelin- Today in Galveston we went to the Annual Sand Flea Contest. I caught 10 fleas! That was great fun. We also took a night cruise to Galveston Island. It was so quiet there, that I could hear the frogs croaking.At lunch time we went to Leanne's. Leanne's is famous for their Bar-B-Q. The sauce was rich and tangy. We also took an old time trolley. It was a tight squeeze with the whole class in one trolley. My day in Galveston was awesome, especially the Bar-B-Q.
Sae Young- At the beach there was a contest called Sand Flea Contest. I just watched the people catch more and more Sand Fleas. I did not want to catch some because I hate fleas! After this contest I went on a jet ski and I surfed the waves it was fun. Sea Wolf Park had alot of War ships like a submarine we got to go in some of the ships. At human maze I thought I would not make it though because it was really big and the maze walls were made of plants like bushes. I did make it though but it took about an hour to get thur this maze.
Mike A.- Dear AWESOME Travel diary ! At the beach in Galveston I dived in and got my head stuck in an undertow I pulled out with my hands and almost dround. On the boat trip I jumped off and dived to the bottom I saw a treasure box I swam up as fast as I could, I got some pliers now I am rich. Now I cant hear because I popped my ears it hurt. Today was AWESOME!
Dmitry- Today we are in Galveston and I went on a jet ski ride, a human bush maze ,a boat ride to Galveston Island,and a tour of a castle on Galveston Island. The humen maze was my favorite, when I was at a dead end, I made it a live end by cutting a hole in the bushes with my pocket knife. When I finally got to the end of the maze I said Kokadoodaldoo wahoo. Galveston was AAWWEESSOOMMEE.

Welcome to New Orleans! Today we are going to the French Quarter and look at all the fancy buildings. We will visit a carnival that is comes before Madi Gras and is filled with parades, people throwing out little cheap trumpets, candy,and necklaces. We are going to the countriesbest aquarium and hopefully we will see beautiful animals. Lunch will be a Cafe Gumboyala, famous for their crawfish and cajun food. We will take a street car though the garden district and down canal street. Each way will cost us $1.00. We need to be very carful in this city because there are a lot of pick pocketers. I will tell each person to put money in all different pockets.This day was planned by Karlee.
Karlee- Dear Journal, I had the most wonderful day of my life! I had a very very fun day. I went to the French Quarter, Aquarium , a carnival and rode on the street car. We ate lunch at Cafe Gumboyala. They had very tasty food. I had Cajun food, it was spicy! At the French Quarter, it was too crowded so I just looked. I loved the carnival. The people were filled with color.

Welcome to Tuscaloosa, ALabama! Today we will go to the Children's Discovery Center and see many cool things. We will take a trip to downtown and walk around the street of Tuscaloosa. After downtown we will visit the state capital and have lunch at little Ceasers Pizza. Day planned by Chris.
Dmitry- Today at Tesculoosa, Alabama we wnt to snake river. I let my pet bat, Jack, eat flys and skare girls. At the state park I let my bat also scare Mr. Riley, it looked like it was going to bite him. After the park, at Little Cesers, I had 3 peices of pizza. Mine and Joey's bat had one peice. Chris rock bottomed Mickael in 5 pices of pizza so Michael started a food fight and he got kicked out of the restaurant. During walking by the churches I noticed that god has given me a very awesome life! At the Childrens Center I made a big sword that looked real and felt real. Tasculoosa wa very very very very very very very AWESOME!
Melissa- We are in Tuscaloosa.We went to the Snake River. I saw a snake it was cool. We went on a nature trail and I saw a baby deer. It was brave enough to let me touch him and it felt awesome. We went to a State Park and had lot's of fun. We had thick and cheese pizza at Little Ceasears. We also visited a church with stain glass. We went a discovery center and did arts and crafts. I had a great time in Tuscaloosa!
Sae Young- TUSCALOOSA HERE WE COME!!! We walked through a trail called Douglas Nature Trail. There was tons of people at the state park. We ate pizza at Little Caesers Pizza. I ate pepperoni pizza it was good! We went downtown to look at churchs it was cool because there was bright colored lighs inside. In the Childrens Discovery Center I conducted science experiments.
